ICUF President Ed Moore Named to Workforce Florida Board of Directors

On Tuesday, Gov. Rick Scott named Ed Moore, the president and CEO of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida and a contributor to Sunshine State News, to the board of directors of Workforce Florida. His term starts on Tuesday and ends July 6, 2014.

Higher education should always be a critical part of how Florida approaches economic development, Moore said. It is such a vital link in the Florida talent chain and Governor Scott clearly recognizes its role in the future economy of Florida. By my appointment, the governor enhances the states attraction to companies across the world by including one of Floridas brightest assets, our colleges and universities, in the states success plan for bringing businesses and jobs to Florida.
