Hundreds of Florida's Gov't Workers Get Six-Figure Pensions

A new state website shines a light on hefty pension and benefit packages enjoyed by public-sector employees.

The site -- FloridaHasaRighttoKnow -- shows six-figure annual benefits going to hundreds of retirees from local and state agencies, including courts and colleges

A full employee database can be searched by name.

Gov. Rick Scott, who announced the site, said, "Taxpayers have the right to know how every taxpayer dollar is spent. This new website will give [taxpayers] the tools you need to learn about state contracts, state employees' salaries, and regulations."
