House Candidate Catches Foul Ball at Playoff Game

Chris Sprowls doesnt rank as the luckiest politician ever (that would be U.S. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., who won the lottery three times) but the baseball gods (sort of) smiled on him on Tuesday night.

Sprowls, an assistant state attorney who is running for the Republican nomination to challenge state Rep. Carl Zimmerman, D-Palm Harbor, should be smiling despite cracking his iPhone and the Tampa Bay Rays getting eliminated from the baseball playoffs by the Boston Red Sox. At the game on Tuesday night, Sprowls caught a foul ball and, in doing so, cracked his phone. At least he had something to smile about as the Rays bow out for the year. ...
