Hollywood Mayor Peter Bober Backs Rudy Moise in U.S. House Race

Dr. Rudy Moise, one of the leaders in a crowded Democratic primary to take the place of U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, received the backing of Hollywood Mayor Peter Bober on Thursday.

Moise is the outsider in the race, running against a field of officeholders -- which is exactly why Bober was backing him.

It is because of Rudys real-world experience as a doctor, successful businessman, devoted family man and colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve that I wholeheartedly endorse him as my candidate in this race for Congress, said Bober.

Moise pledged he would use his experience in the private sector to help the district if he makes it through the primary on Aug. 24. The winner of the primary faces an independent candidate come November as no Republican made the ballot.

I will work to deliver jobs, provide capital for small business, improve infrastructure and encourage new business to come to the district, said Moise.Im a successful businessman. I know what it takes to meet a payroll and I know how to create jobs. Creating jobs will be my top priority in Congress.

I know that Rudy will work hard in Congress, said Bober. He will work hard for Hollywood and he will work hard for all of us.
