Florida is now facing the largest unemployment rate in the states history.
The Agency for Workforce Innovation just released its unemployment figures for February and the unemployment rate went up to 12.2 percent. In February 2009, the figure stood at 9.2 percent.
Floridas unemployment rate remains way above the national average which stands at 9.7 percent.
Palm Coast and Ocala both had unemployment rates over 15 percent. Of the 23 largest communities in Florida, only Tallahassee, Gainesville and Ft. Walton Beach had unemployment under 10 percent.
There is some good news as 26,300 nonagricultural jobs were added in the state in February.
