Hey, Politico, Where Did You Pick Up That Flirtatious Idea?

Apparently, news travels slowly up to Washington, D.C., where Politico.com is speculating about Florida Democrats jumping ship for Charlie Crist.

Sunshine State News reported back on May 7 that state and national Democrats were already flirting with the newly declared independent governor. My article was titled "National Dems Flirting With Crist."

Today's Politico piece -- appearing under the almost identical headline: "Democrats flirt with backing Charlie Crist" -- opines that a Jeff Greene victory in the U.S. Senate Democratic primary could spur an exodus of disgruntled Kendrick Meek supporters.

What a lot of us will have to decide is, do we stay out of the race or support Crist, said one member of the Florida congressional delegation. It will be tempting to endorse Crist," Politico's Jonathan Martin wrote.
