Herman Cain Wins Straw Poll in Central Florida

On Saturday, businessman Herman Cain spoke at the Conservative Roar from the I-4 Corridor in Sanford and it paid off for the Republican presidential candidate as he won a straw poll held at the event.

With 132 votes, Cain, the former CEO of Godfathers Pizza, routed the field. Texas Gov. Rick Perry took second with 55 votes and former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts placed third with 20 votes. Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann came in fourth with 16 votes and U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas took fifth with 7 votes. Cain was the only presidential candidate who spoke at the event.
