Herman Cain Makes His Final Pitch Before P5 Straw Poll

Businessman Herman Cain spoke on Saturday afternoon at the Republican Party of Floridas (RPOF) Presidency 5 event in Orlando. Cain weighed in on economic issues and pushed his 9-9-9 plan for lower personal and corporate income taxes and a national sales tax.

Cain is one of the more popular candidates with the Republicans attending Presidency 5. More than a few RPOF delegates intending to back Texas Gov. Rick Perry have said since the debate on Thursday night -- in which their candidate got poor reviews -- that they were considering backing other candidates. If Perry supporters start drifting away, Cain could be one of the chief beneficiaries. Cain won the endorsement of Rep. Scott Plakon, R-Longwood, on Friday and his speeches have earned marks from convention attendees.
