Hammering Obama on Jobs, Buddy Roemer Will Hit Florida
While some of the leading Republican presidential hopefuls will be heading to Tampa to take part in a debate on Monday night, one of the dark horses will be stumping another part of the Sunshine State.
Former Gov. Buddy Roemer of Louisiana will be speaking at The Villages on Monday afternoon. While he has not garnered much attention, Roemer has worked hard in New Hampshire, pushing his message for economic and political reform. Roemer has refused to accept any contributions larger than $100 for his presidential bid.
Roemer weighed in on Thursday after President Barack Obama offered his jobs plan, and gave it low marks.
The presidents jobs plan will certainly create jobs jobs in China, Roemer said.Another $450 billion government stimulus is not the answer. The presidents job-killing economic policies have decimated domestic manufacturing, shipped thousands of good American jobs overseas and saddled future generations with a historic level of debt they may likely never be able to escape.
We must end unfair trade practices, enact real tax reforms by closing special-interest loopholes and restart the idle engines of job growth in our private sector now, added Roemer. Mr. President, get passionate about creating jobs here at home and start standing up for Made in America again.
