Gus Bilirakis Marks 12th Anniversary of Sept. 11

U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla., recognized the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on Tuesday.

We remember September 11, 2001, not only for the tragic events that occurred and the loved ones lost, but also for the strength and unity demonstrated by Americans that day a unique solidarity still found throughout our nation. In the face of great danger, our first responders, servicemen and women, firefighters, police officers, and everyday Americans answered the call of duty," he said. "Thank you to everyone who continues to selflessly serve this country. Your commitment to our freedoms and values remains a symbol of the life and liberty that make this country the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Wednesday will mark 12 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon.
