Gun Owners Feel Safer With Guns At Home

Gun owners feel safer because someone in their household owns a gun, according to a new survey from Rasmussen Reports.

The survey found 63 percent of likely U.S. voters said they felt more safe because someone in their house owned a gun, while only two percent said they felt less safe.

Over one-third -- 32 percent -- said someone owning a gun in their household had no impact on their personal safety while two percent said they weren't sure.

The Rasmussen Reports survey of 378 adults was conducted Dec. 6-7 with a margin of +/- 5 percentage points and a confidence level of 95 percent.
