Gov. Kasich Names Mavericks, Fans 'Honorary Ohioans' After Beating Heat

Gov. Scott is faced with split loyalties Monday after the much-hyped Miami Heat lost Game 6 of the NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night.

Scott lost his bet with his role-model politician, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, over the series, and must now give him a Florida key lime pie. Now, another like-minded governor, John Kasich of Ohio, is pouring salt in the wound.

To rub it in the face of Lebron James, who acrimoniously left the Cleveland Cavaliers last summer to go to Miami, Kasich issued a proclamation declaring all Mavericks organization, players, coaches and fans "honorary Ohioans."
