Gov. Chris Christie: Will He or Won't He?
Will New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie come to Florida to deliver the keynote address at next month's Republican National Convention?
NBC News' Jamie Gangel says yes. She reported Wednesday that Christie would be afforded the plum speaking slot at the convention, the spot reserved for the party's designated next in line for the throne.
But wait.
I've gotten no invitation to do anything like that, Christie later told NBC.
Enter, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul. When asked on MSNBC Wednesday afternoon if Christie will be the keynoter in Tampa, she said, You''ll have to stay tuned.
The Washington Post says this: "If Christie was chosen to deliver the convention keynote, it would be a very good sign that Romney is no longer considering the outspoken governor as a potential running mate. Aides to Romney have told the New York Times they are troubled by Christies temper."
We may have to wait for the GOP to release a detailed itinerary of the convention speaking schedule.
