GOP Senate Candidate Todd Wilcox Promises to Take on 'Professional Politicians in Washington'

Continuing his dark horse bid for the Republican nomination to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., in 2016, businessman and veteran Todd Wilcox called out “professional politicians” on Wednesday.

Rubio is running for the Republican presidential nomination and has said he will not run for a second term in the Senate.

“I am gravely concerned about the path we are on as a nation,” Wilcox noted on Wednesday. “Our freedoms are under attack by this administration and the professional politicians in Washington have all but given up the fight, because politically it’s just too hard for them. We deserve better!

“I’m running for the United States Senate because we live in the greatest country in the world and I have lived my life based on the philosophy that those who can serve should. I will take on the establishment in Washington,” Wilcox added. “I know this won’t be easy, but I also know this campaign has several advantages. There is a growing anti-politician sentiment in Florida and throughout the US. I am running this campaign with the same discipline and focus that has made the family business so successful.”
