GOP Legislative Leaders Line Up Behind Scott Plakon

Former Rep. Scott Plakon is getting the support of the Republican leadership in Tallahassee as he looks to return to Tallahassee by defeating Rep. Mike Clelland, D-Longwood, in 2014.

On Friday, Plakon announced he had the endorsements of some of the leading Republicans in the Legislature: Senate President Don Gaetz, House Speaker Will Weatherford, incoming Senate President Andy Gardner, incoming House Speaker Steve Crisafulli, House Majority Leader Steve Precourt, Rep. Richard Corcoran and Rep. Jose Oliva. Republicans representing Central Florida in both the House and the Senate also announced their support of Plakon.

Scotts hard work and passion for advancing job creation and providing educational opportunities that give our children the best chance to succeed in a global economy are well-known throughout Central Florida said Precourt. Im honored to stand with a man of integrity like Scott Plakon as he seeks to represent the people of District 29.
