Gingrich, Romney, Paul Score 3-Way Tie in Florida GOP Online Poll

Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul scored a virtual three-way tie in an online poll hosted by the Sarasota Republican Party.

The poll of 2,108 Florida Republicans from 62 of the state's 67 counties showed Gingrich and Romney each grabbing 25 percent of the vote. Ron Paul garnered 24 percent.

Rick Santorum was the only other candidate in double digits, with 11 percent.

Calling Florida a "tossup," Sarasota GOP Chairman Joe Gruters said, "Now is the time to support the candidate of your choice to help him or her win. But we must soon turn our attention to November and united in our efforts to make sure that we retire Bill Nelson and replace Barack Obama with our nominees."
