An alternate juror in George Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial has been dismissed for reasons unrelated to the case.
Juror B-72, a young man who talked about arm wrestling and one-armed pull-ups, was dismissed by Judge Debra Nelson on Wednesday.
The judge also ruled in favor of the use of previous 911 calls made by Zimmerman before the death of Trayvon Martin.
The state calledJayne Surdyka to testify Wednesday. Surdyka isa former Retreat at Twin Lakes resident who was an eyewitness to a struggle outside her home. Surdyka said she thought "something horrible was happening" and then grabbed her phone to call 911. She said she heard calls for help.
"I really felt it was a boy's voice," said Surdyka.
