George LeMieux's Team Takes Aim at Obama on the Economy

On Thursday morning, the team behind former U.S. Sen. George LeMiuex, who is running in a crowded Republican primary looking to take on Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in 2012, took aim at President Barack Obama on the economy.

President Obama returned from vacation and will give a speech focusing on the economy and jobs this Thursday night, noted Brian Seitchik, LeMieuxs campaign manager, in an email sent out to supporters. As Americans struggle with the most difficult economy in 70 years, the president should have showed leadership, called the Congress back into session, and delivered this speech earlier this summer.

Seitchik highlighted an op-ed his candidate wrote earlier in August calling for exactly that.

Our sincere hope is that the president offers real solutions this Thursday night that cut spending, don't raise taxes, remove unnecessary regulation, and help get Floridians back to work, wrote Seitchik.
