George LeMieux Talks 2010 and 2012 Senate Races on MSNBC

Florida Republican U.S. Sen. George LeMieux may be ending his short stint in Washington but he continues to garner some attention -- and not just for his key vote in saving President Barack Obamas small-business loan program.

LeMieux was on MSNBCs Morning Joe with former U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough, who represented the Panhandle in Congress as a Republican, and touched base on a number of subjects.

Asked about the election to replace him, LeMieux continued to advocate for the Republican nominee former House Speaker Marco Rubio, instead of the man who appointed him to the Senate -- his friend and ally Gov. Charlie Crist, who is running without party affiliation.

Marco Rubios going to win that race, insisted LeMieux.

LeMieux also took questions on establishment Republicans losing in primaries across the nation and his ambitions in 2012. Asked about whether he will challenge U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, a Democrat, in 2012, LeMieux played coy.

Well see, said LeMieux who added that he had four young children and his wife would have the final say on whether he runs or not.
