George LeMieux: IRS Will Allow Write-off on Drywall Damages

Almost a year after he asked the IRS to allow taxpayers to deduct expenses resulting from drywall damage, Republican U.S. Sen. George LeMieux announced on Thursday that the IRS agreed to the request.

Homeowners affected by contaminated drywall have been waiting too long for relief, said LeMieux. This allowance is welcome news.
