George LeMieux Goes After Obama Economic Policies

Republican U.S. Sen. George LeMieux may be stepping down at the end of the year, but there are rumors that he plans to challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in 2012.

LeMieuxsattack on the Obama administrations economic policies on Thursday will only increase the buzz that he will run against Nelson in 2012.

We need pro-growth policies, said LeMieux. Florida continues to suffer from the economic downturn and nothing coming out of Washington is helping people seeking to work in the private sector.

Government jobs will not lead us to recovery, said LeMieux. That kind of growth will take more money from taxpayers and push our country further into debt. The government should be creating policies that will help small-business owners flourish in these tough economic times, not creating harmful regulations that prevent them from being successful.
