George LeMieux Backs Jeb Bush for President in 2016

Former U.S. Sen. George LeMieux, R-Fla., offered a ringing endorsement for former Gov. Jeb Bush’s, R-Fla., presidential campaign on Friday. 

“The stakes could not be higher for our country,” LeMieux insisted on Friday. “During no time in my public life has the United States had greater challenges, and greater opportunities¸ than today.  We need a proven leader like Gov. Bush to remove the barriers to economic growth, tackle our national debt, and ensure our safety at home by leadership abroad.  If Jeb can do half as much for the U.S. as he did for Florida, we will be in great shape!

“I have known Gov. Bush for over 20 years and have had the opportunity to work closely with him,” LeMieux continued. “He will serve as president of the United States with a servant’s heart.  He will be a tireless fighter for the values that made America great: personal freedom, limited government, a vibrant economy where all Americans can rise, and a safe and secure homeland where our families can live in prosperity.

“Jeb Bush was a fantastic governor of Florida, and will be an exceptional president for our country,” LeMieux concluded. “In these troubled times we need a leader who has the courage of his convictions, is eager to solve problems, and will lead the country in a hopeful and optimistic way to a better tomorrow.”
