Gallagher Joins Fort Lauderdale Law Firm as Consultant

Tom Gallagher, a three time gubernatorial candidate who once served as Floridas chief financial officer, has joined the Fort Lauderdale law firm of Colodny, Fass, Talenfeld, Karlinsky & Abate PA, as a consultant. according to the Insurance Journal.

The firm also has a Tallahassee office.

The Miami Republican was a state House representative from 1974 to 1987, and was appointed secretary of the Department of Professional Regulation in 1987. He was elected to the office of treasurer, insurance commissioner and fire marshal a year later. In 1998, he was elected commissioner of education, but moved back to treasurer two years later. That office was merged with comptroller in 2003 and renamed chief financial officer.

He made bids for Florida governor in 1986, 1994 and 2006.
