FreedomWorks Backs Adam Hasner for U.S. Senate
With state Senate President Mike Haridopolos bowing out of the Republican primary to take on Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in 2012, the floodgates of conservative support have opened to back former state House Majority Leader Adam Hasner for the GOP nomination.
Less than 12 hours after Haridopolos pulled out, FreedomWorks became the third conservative group to back Hasner on Monday.
"I'm honored to have the endorsement of FreedomWorks, said Hasner.I look forward to earning the individual support of the grass-roots conservatives who make up the heart and soul of this organization that has done so much to promote freedom and pro-growth fiscal policies.
"Our campaign is gaining support among Floridians because I'm speaking honestly about the challenges facing our country, and the kind of limited government leadership we need in Washington, D.C.," continued Hasner. "Like me, FreedomWorks believes that if conservatives rally, hold true to time-tested principles, and stand firm for real spending cuts and budget reforms, we can lead an American resurgence."
