Francis Rooney Backs Javier Manjarres' Congressional Bid

Continuing his bid to topple U.S. Rep. Ted Deutch, D-Fla., at the end of last week, Republican congressional hopeful Javier Manjarres, best known for his Shark Tank blog, unveiled the support of U.S. Rep. Francis Rooney, R-Fla.

"It is time for fresh ideas from people like Javier, who will be a citizen legislator, not a career politician – and who is committed to changing the culture of Washington so that it works for you. He will fight to improve Floridians' quality of life and make our communities safer,” Rooney, the vice chairman of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee and a former ambassador to the Holy See, announced on Friday.

“Congressman Rooney’s service to our country and his dedication to President Trump’s America First has been an inspiration to all Americans. I am honored to receive his full support,” Manjarres said.
