Fox News Suspends Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum But Not Palin, Huckabee and Bolton

Politico is reporting that Fox News has suspended contributors former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania until they decide to run for the Republican presidential nomination. Fox News did not suspend three other possible candidates -- former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton -- who are also contributors.

Its fair to say that Gingrich and Santorum have been far more active in preparing for presidential bids than the other contributors. Santorum has made many visits to early primary and caucus states, and rumors were flying this week that Gingrich could form an exploratory committee as early as Thursday, though that talk seems to have dampened.
