Former Congressman Dave Weldon Backs Craig Miller in GOP Primary Against Suzanne Kosmas
Former Ruth's Chris CEO Craig Miller, running in a close Republican primary to take on U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas, won a big endorsement from conservative former U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon who represented Florida for over a decade.
"Craig Miller is a lot like me; he is not a career politician, but a conservative 'citizen lawmaker' like our nation's founders had in mind," said Weldon. "He can protect our Constitution from the liberals now in the majority who seem to be ignoring its precepts, if not subverting its intent.I know that he will stand up for families and the unborn.
Weldon also praised Miller on NASA -- a hot topic on the Space Coast where federal budget cuts threaten thousands of Florida jobs. He grew up with the space program in Brevard and I am convinced that he not only understands its importance to the Space Coast and supports its growth, but he knows how to get things done and is not beholden to an administration that would cede our leadership to China, Russia, or others, said Weldon. As a Vietnam veteran and someone who has served people all of his life, I'm convinced that Craig Miller will not forget the citizens that elected him."
Congressman Weldon is an example of what is right with politics, said Miller. He went to Washington to make a difference and then returned home having accomplished his main goals of balancing the budget, reforming welfare, and cutting taxes. He has been a champion for the unborn and right-to-life issues which earns my utmost respect. Anyone who wants a blueprint of what a congressman should be needs to look no further than Dr. Dave Weldon."
