A report card on the national Digital Learning Now! initiative has Florida tied for eighth in the country in offering "elements of high-quality digital learning."
Though DLN, led by Jeb Bush and Bob Wise, has not officially released a ranking, the Fordham Institute issued an analysis, which showed:
- Utah and Wyoming as the friendliest states for digital-learning. Both met 49 of the DLNs 72 metrics.
- Also receiving "A" grade were Arizona, Idaho, Minnesota, Virginia and Washington.
- Floridas 41 achieved metrics earned it an "A-," tied for eighth with Indiana, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
On the other end of the spectrum, California hit only 14 metrics and ranks last -- though it shares the F designation with 18 other states.
