Florida GOP Files Ethics Complaint Against Charlie Crist Over Billboards

The Republican Party of Florida announced Monday it would be filing an ethics complaint against former Gov. Charlie Crist over several billboards in Tampa Bay.

The party alleges the billboards, which are located in St. Petersburg and in Tampa, do not have the disclaimer required under state law.

"The result of these blatant violations is that Florida voters have no idea who is funding, approving and making these express advocacy communications," wrote RPOF Executive Director Juston Johnson, who contends that the billboards should include a disclaimer that states the billboard is a political advertisement.

UPDATE:According to the Crist campaign, the disclosure is located in the lower right hand corner of the billboards.
