Florida Congressmen Urge Judiciary Committee to Stand Against Loretta Lynch
More than 50 Republicans in the U.S. House, led by U.S. Rep. Jim Bridenstine, R-Okla., are urging the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee to reject President Barack Obamas nomination of Loretta Lynch as U.S. attorney general.
Bridenstine sent a letter to the Judiciary Committee and three congressmen from Florida -- Republican U.S. Reps. Ron DeSantis, Dan Webster and Ted Yoho -- signed on.
The top law enforcement official in the land must be willing to enforce the law, independent of administration politics, said Bridenstine this week. The testimony of Loretta Lynch demonstrated an unwillingness to depart from the politicization of justice we have seen from Eric Holder. The Senate has a constitutional obligation not to confirm her. This starts in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
