Florida Chamber Releases New Tool To Measure Economic Progress
During the opening hours of the 2010 Future of Florida Forum, the Florida Chamber of Commerce announced an upgrade, an online tool that helps business leaders keep their fingers on the pulse of Florida's economy.
Scorecard 2.0 is an upgrade from the previous system and seeks to identify and track major economic indicators. It's designed to help leaders, both in business and politics, make decisions based on a wealth of data continuously collected and monitored.
It brings all that information into one place and provides customizable charts and graphs that help decision-makers make sense of it all.
The Florida Scorecard 2.0 offers communities in Florida the opportunity to track the progress and regress of state and local economies, said Dale A. Brill, president of the Florida Chamber Foundation. It provides regional views of performance indicators such as employment, per capita income, high school graduation rates and home foreclosures, just to name a few.
While announcing Scorecard 2.0, Brill mentioned they have version 3.0 in the works that will compare Florida to other states.
The site http://www.thefloridascorecard.com is open to the public free of charge.
