Florida Cabinet Honors Vietnam Veterans

The Florida Cabinet unveiled a resolution honoring Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day" on Monday and praising veterans of that conflict.

"Our state is home to more than 515,000 Vietnam-era veterans whose courageous service has protected the freedoms we enjoy today, Gov. Rick Scott, R-Fla., said on Monday. As a Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam era, I am proud to sign this resolution to honor all of our Vietnam veterans and to remember those who lost their lives while defending our nation. While we can never fully repay these brave heroes for their sacrifice, I join every Floridian to recognize and thank our Vietnam veterans and their families for their service to our nation.
