Florida Added 17,440 Private Sector Jobs in May, Says Report

Florida added 17,440 private sector jobs in May, according to the ADP Regional Employment Report released Wednesday by ADP, a leading provider of global human capital management solutions.

Florida had the second-highest number of jobs created in May, trailing Texas by only 1,410 jobs. The U.S. saw 135,000 jobs generated in May, according to the report.

Service-providing jobs provided the highest number in the total at 14,770 jobs. Natural resources/construction jobs accounted for 3,720 jobs last month. Professional and business service jobs added 3,690 jobs in May.

Florida's seen the second-fastest unemployment rate drop in the country. The unemployment rate currently sits at just above 7 percent.
