For those from the Mid-Atlantic region, Wawa is coming to Florida.
The convenience store chain -- which draws it name from the Ojibwe word for the Canada Goose -- will open its first Sunshine State location on Wednesday in Orlando along Central Parkway and International Drive, near SeaWorld.
The store is the first of five planned to open within the next month in the Orlando-Kissimmee area, and 100 along the I-4 corridor in the next five years. Each location will employ 35, according to Wawa.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Gov. Rick Scott is expected to attend the opening with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.
The governors office would only say that Scotts schedule for Wednesday will be released later today.
