Flags at Half-Staff for Specialist Gerardo Campos

Gov. Rick Scott ordered national and state flags at half-staff on Wednesday at thecourthouse of Miami-Dade County, Homestead, and outside Floridas Capitol in Tallahassee, for Specialist Gerardo Campos.

Campos, 23, died of wounds caused by enemy small-arms fire on June 2 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.

Campos was assigned to B Company, 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
