Flags at Half-Staff in DeLand for Private Cory Eiland

Gov. Rick Scott has ordered state and national flags to be at half-staff at the Volusia County Courthouse, Deland City Hall and at the Capitol in Tallahassee on Saturday, June 16, for Private Second Class Cory D. Eiland.

Eiland, assigned to Charlie Company, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y., died of injuries from a single-car crash on June 6 in Hammond, N.Y.
