First Ladies of the Florida Legislature

An email from Gov. Charlie Crist's Senate campaigntoday attacked Marco Rubio for "conferring a heretofore unknown title" quoting Rubio saying, "My wife was the First Lady of the Florida House of Representatives and it is absolutely appropriate for her to accompany me to official events and party functions."

Well,the title is no longer unknown. Crist could not be pleased with Florida Senate President Jeff Atwater, R-North Palm Beach, who,moments before Gov. Crist was about to start the State of the State,introduced Speaker Cretul's wife as "the First Lady of the Florida House of Representatives" before introducing his own wife as the "First Lady of the Florida Senate."
