Fallon, Glass Appointed to Board of Pharmacy
Leo J. Lee Fallon and Debra B. Glass have been appointed to the Board of Pharmacy by Gov. Rick Scott.
According to a release from the governor's office:
"Fallon, 71, of The Villages, has been a pharmacy manager at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. since 1989.
With more than four decades of varied pharmacy experience, his practice has included small and large regional and national companies ranging from Thrift Drug, Walgreens Pharmacy, Gray Drug and Lees Pharmacy.
Among his many professional affiliations, he served as president of the Florida Pharmacy Association from 2006 to 2007 and as treasurer from 2003 to 2006. Fallon received a bachelors degree from Duquesne University and a Master of Business Administration and a Ph.D. from the University of Miami.
He succeeds Dr. Ronald B. Salem and is appointed for a term beginning Dec. 22, 2011, and ending Oct. 31, 2015.
Glass, 53, of Tallahassee, has been a pharmacy supervisor with CVS Caremark since 2006, overseeing 21 stores in the Florida Panhandle and was a staff and clinical pharmacist with the company from 2003 to 2005.
Previously, she worked with Eckerd Drugs from 1991 to 2004 until the CVS Corp. acquired Eckerd Health Services.
Glass was a clinical pharmacist with Affiliated Computer Services from 2005 to 2006, as well as a consultant pharmacist for the Florida State University Thagard Student Health Center from 1994 to 2003. From 2001 to 2006, she was a consultant pharmacist for the Florida Medicaid Utilization Review Program.
She served as a consumer member of the Regulatory Council of Community Association Managers from 1999 to 2008 and a pharmacist member of District 2 Long-Term Ombudsman Council from 1993 to 1996. Glass received a bachelors degree from the University of Georgia.
She succeeds Carl Fritz Hayes and is appointed for a term beginning Dec. 22, 2011, and ending Oct. 31, 2015.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
