The Florida Commission on Ethics has approved Gov. Rick Scott's arrangement to put all of his investments into a blind trust he has no control over.
Before being sworn into office, Gov. Rick Scott pledged to put his investments into a blind trust, which he did. But questions over his partial ownership of Solantic, a health care company he helped found that provides services like drug tests, arose when he introduced policies calling for all state workers to undergo drug screenings. He first moved his ownership stake into the control of his wife, Ann, but he eventually sold his share of Solantic as questions persisted.
