Dupree, Jennings Reappointed by Gov. Scott
Gov. Rick Scott reappointed Neal A. Dupree as the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel for the South District Region and John W. Jennings as Capital Collateral Regional Counsel for the Middle District Region. According to a release from the governors office:
Dupree, 56, of Davie, has served as the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel for the South District since 1998. Previously, he was a sole practitioner from 1987 to 1998. From 1983 to 1987, he was an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit. From 1981 to 1983, he was an assistant federal public defender for the Office of the Public Defender for the Southern District of Florida. He practiced with the Law Office of Harold C. Knecht PA from 1980 to 1981. Dupree received his bachelors and law degrees from the University of Florida.
Jennings, 62, of Tampa, has served as the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel for the Middle District since 2001. He served as an assistant public defender with the Office of the Public Defender for the 13th Judicial Circuit from 1998 to 2000. He served as an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit from 1986 to 1998 and with the 13th Judicial Circuit from 1977 to 1986. From 1974 to 1977, he was a staff attorney with the Texas Department of Corrections. He received a bachelors degree from the University of Central Florida and a law degree from South Texas College of Law.
"Dupree and Jennings are appointed for terms ending Sept. 30, 2012. Both appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
