Due Today: Michele Bachmann Eat-Those-Words Endorsement

Sometimes eating your words is fatal. Will it be today when Michelle Bachmann appears at a Mitt Romney campaign event to throw her support behind the former Massachusetts governor?

Should be interesting to see how she tiptoes her red face into camp.

An ABC News video playing all over the Internet and on television shows Bachmann the day before the Iowa caucus, asked point blank if Romney could beat Barack Obama. Her answer: "Not going to happen." Have a look at the story and video on The Atlantic Wire.

Here is exactly what she said:

No, he cannot beat Obama because his policy is the basis for Obamacare. The signature issue of Obama is Obamacare. You cant have a candidate who has given the blueprint for Obamacare. Its too identical. Its not going to happen. We have to have a candidate, a bold distinct candidate in the likeness of Ronald Reagan.

So, Newt Gingrich isn't the only one chewing on his words today.

Watch the Obama camp come up with some priceless and very stinging sound bites from a raucous GOP primary campaign.

In the end, Bachmann's words could do more to hurt her own credibility than Romney's. Particularly with the party.
