Donald Trump Draws Fire From Debbie Wasserman Schultz on 'Get Rid' of Muslims Response

Businessman and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump attended a town hall in New Hampshire on Thursday and, asked to “get rid” of Muslims, he replied, “We’re going to be looking at it”--drawing fire from a Florida congresswoman.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz

U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC),  slammed Trump late on Thursday night.

“GOP frontrunner Donald Trump's racism knows no bounds,” Wasserman Schultz said. “This is certainly horrendous but unfortunately unsurprising given what we have seen already. The vile rhetoric coming from the GOP candidates is appalling.

“Still, the RNC chair believes Trump is 'a net positive' for the Republican Party,” Wasserman Schultz added. “The fact is that Trump and his fellow Republican candidates who continue to spew hatred and divide us, are an abysmal negative for America as well and for the future of our political discourse.

“They should be ashamed, and all Republican presidential candidates must denounce Trump's comments immediately or will be tacitly agreeing with him,” Wasserman Schultz said in closing.
