Don Gaetz's Chief of Staff Joins the FMA

One of Florida Senate President Don Gaetzs, R-Destin, top staffers will be joining the Florida Medical Association (FMA). On Tuesday, FMA Executive Vice President Timothy Stapleton announced that Chris Clark, who has been a staffer for Gaetz for eight years rising to chief of staff, will start as senior vice president of public affairs for the FMA on July 21. Clark also worked as an aide to former Gov. Jeb Bush.

"To say that we are excited about adding Chris to our team would be an understatement," said Stapleton. "Chris is one of the most respected and well-liked people in Tallahassee.

"It is rare to find someone who has a sophisticated understanding of the political process as well as in-depth knowledge of public policy," added Stapleton. "Chris is one of the few people who has mastered both politics and policy.

"Chris has over 16 years of experience working in both the executive and legislative branches of Florida government," Stapleton said in conclusion. "We look forward to bringing his expertise in governmental affairs to the FMA where he will help us achieve our goal of making Florida the best place in the country for physicians to practice medicine."
