Dems Fire Away at Craig Miller
With Republican Craig Miller starting to run television commercials on his congressional campaign, the Florida Democratic Party blasted the former Ruth's Chris CEO on Thursday.
The real Craig Miller opposes common-sense limits on drunk driving, was fired as CEO of Ruth's Chris Steak House for poor financial management, and was given a multimillion-dollar severance package, said a release from the Democrats.
"Miller thinks he can spend his way out of his past and convince voters he shares their interests, but clearly the only thing he's concerned about is his own wallet," said Eric Jotkoff, Florida Democratic Party spokesman. "Central Floridians want someone on their side, fighting for their issues and values in Washington, not a politician like Craig Miller who will always put himself first."
Miller is facing a large Republican primary field to take on Democratic U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas and he certainly is not a lock for the nomination by any means. But he may be gaining traction -- or else why would the Democrats unleash on him?
