Democrats Try to Put Allen West Into Herman Cain's Camp; West Says Nein

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee tried Tuesday to box Rep. Allen West, R-Plantation, into Herman Cain's 9-9-9 corner.

"The [9-9-9 tax] plan is consistent with Wests voting record of supporting tax policy that benefits the ultrawealthy at the expense of the middle class," said Jesse Ferguson of the DCCC.

Will Representative Allen West stand with the controversial 9-9-9 plan of his Republican front-runner, or with thousands of Americans speaking out across the country demanding the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share? ... Democrats across the country are speaking out about this controversial plan, and West needs to give his answer.

West spokeswoman Angela Sachitano said the Dems are barking up the wrong tree.

"The congressman has not come out to endorse any presidential candidate or their plan at this point, so he will refrain from commenting," Sachitano told Sunshine State News.
