Democrats' Obama Flag Raises Ire of Veterans in Lake County
Democrats in Lake County have raised the fury of some Army veterans for hoisting a flag resembling Old Glory with President Obamas face replacing the 50 stars on the field of blue.
Jim Bradford, a 71-year-old veteran who served during the Bay of Pigs invasion, called the reconfigured banner a disgrace. Meanwhile, Nancy Hurlbert, chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party, reportedly apologized, removed the flag, but failed to say the flag would never be raised again.
"It leads me to believe that it's not about the flag," Hurlbert told FoxNews.com. "Certain elements cannot accept Barack Obama as president."
Jenn Meale, communications director for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, referred FoxNews.com to state laws that pertain to the use of flags on public lands and property when asked for clarification as to whether Hurlbert could face any penalties.
