Delta Launch Set for Thursday from Cape Canaveral

Those along Floridas Space Coast, and northern parts of the Treasure Coast, may get to see the nations newest GPS satellite launched by a United Launch Alliance Delta IV Medium rocket from Cape Canaveral Thursday morning.

The satellite is one of 12 that Boeing is building for the U.S. Air Force.

The 206-foot-tall rocket has a 19-minute launch window starting at 8:10 a.m.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the launch has a 60 percent chance of favorable weather.

The launch precedes a planned Sunday night launch of the third Dragon spacecraft by the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

The Dragon C3, being built to fly private resupply missions to the International Space Station, is scheduled to go up at 8:34 p.m.

The mission will demonstrate the rendezvous and docking with the International Space Station.
