Debbie Wasserman Schultz Goes to Bat for Joe Garcia

One of the top Republican targets in the nation, U.S. Rep. Joe Garcia, D-Fla., got some help on from a fellow Florida Democrat who is a much larger figure on the national stage: U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla.

Joe Garcia is in the race of his life, Wasserman Schultz insisted on Monday. We know that the GOP has put the 26th District at the top of their target list.

Wasserman Schultz warned Republicans would rely on millions of dollars in dishonest ads spent by the GOPs megadonors before she turned her fire on the GOP hopefuls looking to defeat Garcia. Miami Dade County School Board member Carlos Curbelo is the favorite for the Republican nomination to challenge Garcia in November.

The last thing we need is another tea partier in Washington, Wasserman Schultz insisted. The tea party is hell bent on doing as much chest-thumping as possible -- even if our country suffers and Washington gets nothing done. Joe is part of the solution -- and he is focused on getting the job done.
