Debbie Wasserman Schultz Called Out for Misquote by Anderson Cooper

Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Weston, found herself dressed down by Anderson Cooper on his CNN show on Thursday for a fundraising letter the party sent out that misquotes the Los Angeles Times regarding presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The letter signed by Wasserman Schultz claims that Romney was directly responsible for drafting the pro-life stance -- which doesnt specifically designate exceptions for victims of rape or incest -- in the GOP platform.

Just as you dont like being misquoted, I dont like being misquoted. Im sure the LA Times doesnt like being misquoted to back up your political position, Cooper said. I dont understand why you would need to do that.

Wasserman Schultz's response: Romney has supported prior platforms that have included the same language and later added It doesnt matter.
