Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Benghazi Investigation Politically Motivated

In her role as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., is front-and-center against Republican efforts to investigate the Obama administrations handling of the September 2012 attacks in Benghazi which claimed the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens. In various media appearances at the national level, Wasserman Schultz said the investigation, which includes a House committee, is about politics.

The GOP's latest panel on Benghazi isn't about security -- we've already had 13 hearings, 50 briefings, and 25,000 pages of documents released, and the administration is implementing official recommendations to secure our embassies, Wasserman Schultz insisted at the end of last week. This is another GOP attempt to latch on to an issue that they think will motivate their base in November.
